नहर के कटान से किसानों का हुआ भारी नुकसान

नहर कटान होने से डूब गए किसानों के कई बीघे के फसल

अमबेडकरनगर। जलालपुर में नहर की साफ सफाई व रख-रखाव में बरती गई लापरवाही के चलते तहसील क्षेत्र अंतर्गत पाभीपुर गांव के निकट शारदा सहायक नहर से निकली माइनर के क्षतिग्रस्त हो जाने से बुधवार देर रात कटान हो गई। जिससे किसानों के फसल पूरी तरह जलमग्न हो गई। गुरुवार सुबह जानकारी होने पर ग्रामीणों ने नहर विभाग को सूचना देने के साथ ही कटान रोकने का प्रयास किया लेकिन सफलता नहीं मिली। इस बीच गुरुवार शाम तक नहर विभाग के कर्मचारियों के न पहुंचने से ग्रामीणों में आक्रोश फैल गया। उनका कहना रहा कि बिना साफ-सफाई कराए ही माइनर में पानी छोड़ दिया गया। इसी का नतीजा है कि किसानों को खामियाजा भुगतना पड़ रहा है। गुरुवार सुबह पाभीपुर गांव के कुछ लोग

माइनर की तरफ गए तो वहां का दृश्य देखकर सन्न रह गए। माइनर में कटान हो गई थी और माइनर का पानी तेजी से खेतों को अपनी चपेट में ले रहा था। जानकारी होने पर बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुंच गए। ग्रामीण नहर विभाग के अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों को नहर के क्षतिग्रस्त होने की सूचना देते हुए खुद ही कटान रोकने का प्रयास करने लगे। हालांकि ग्रामीणों को इसमें सफलता नहीं मिल सकी। नतीजा यह रहा कि राजेश का 20 बिस्वा, दुर्गा का 10 बिस्वा, राधेश्याम का दस बिस्वा, मुन्ना अली का 2 बिस्वा, श्याम सुंदर का दो बिस्वा, संजय का 10 बिस्वा, प्रभु का 10 बिस्वा समेत कई किसानों के खेत पूरी तरह

से जलमग्न हो गये। खेतों में पानी भर जाने से आलू, सरसों, मटर व गेहूं की फसल प्रभावित हुई है। कटान की जानकारी होने के बाद भी गुरुवार शाम तक नहर विभाग के कर्मचारी मौके पर नहीं पहुंच सके। इससे ग्रामीणों में आक्रोश व्याप्त हो गया। प्रभावित किसान राजेश व मुन्ना अली ने नाराजगी जताते हुए कहा कि जानकारी होते ही यदि नहर विभाग के कर्मचारी सक्रिय हो गए होते तो कई बीघा फसल को जलमग्न होने से बचाया जा सकता था। वही राधेश्याम व दुर्गा ने नाराजगी व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि माइनर की बिना साफ-सफाई कराए ही पानी छोड़ दिया जाता है।

माइनर में तीन दिन पहले ही पानी छोड़ा गया था। साफ-सफाई न होने के चलते ही नहर क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई और कटान हो गई। इसका खामियाजा किसानों को भुगतना पड़ा है। नहर विभाग के अधिशाषी अभियंता एसपी सिंह ने बताया कि माइनर में कटान की सूचना ग्रामीणों से प्राप्त हुई थी। कटान रोकने के लिए कर्मचारियों को जरूरी दिशा-निर्देश दिए गए हैं। समय रहते ही कटान रोकने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।

Ambedkar Nagar.  In Jalalpur, due to the carelessness taken in the cleanliness and maintenance of the canal, there was a cut late on Wednesday night due to the damage of the minor coming out of the Sharda Sahayak canal near Pabhipur village under Tehsil area.  Due to which the crops of the farmers were completely submerged.  On getting the information on Thursday morning, the villagers tried to stop the harvesting along with informing the canal department but without success.  Meanwhile, there was resentment among the villagers due to non-arrival of the employees of the canal department till Thursday evening.  He said that water was released in the minor without cleaning it.  As a result of this, farmers have to bear the brunt.  Some people of Pabhipur village on Thursday morning When he went to the minor side, he was stunned to see the scene there.  There had been erosion in the minor and the water of the minor was rapidly engulfing the fields.  On getting information, a large number of villagers reached the spot.  Informing the officials and employees of the Rural Canal Department about the damage to the canal, they themselves started trying to stop the cutting.  However, the villagers could not get success in this.  The result was that Rajesh's 20 Biswa, Durga's 10 Biswa, Radheshyam's ten Biswa, Munna Ali's 2 Biswa, Shyam Sundar's two Biswa, Sanjay's 10 Biswa, Prabhu's 10 Biswa, including many farmers' fields were completely got submerged.  The crops of potato, mustard, peas and wheat have been affected due to water logging in the fields.  Even after getting information about the cutting, till Thursday evening, the employees of the canal department could not reach the spot.  This created resentment among the villagers.  Affected farmers Rajesh and Munna Ali expressed their displeasure and said that if the employees of the canal department had become active as soon as the information was received, then many bighas of crop could have been saved from being submerged.  The same Radheshyam and Durga expressed their displeasure and said that water is released without cleaning the minor.

 Water was released in the minor only three days ago.  Due to lack of cleanliness, the canal got damaged and got cut.  The farmers have to bear the brunt of this.  SP Singh, executive engineer of the canal department, said that the information about the cutting in the minor was received from the villagers.  Necessary guidelines have been given to the employees to prevent wasting.  Efforts are being made to stop the erosion in time.
